i just got back from my first day in spanish class. there weren't any other students today and the instructor claims that there'll be more next time since i signed up for the classroom spanish lessons but he feels that it'd be more effectfual and the spanish would stick in my brain if i did one-on-one tutor sessions which costs more. he asked me if i knew what some words were and i'd say i knew about 90% of them. he asked me some questions about the spanish i knew before he asked me the words, i told him that i learned it from memory from the spanish classes i took in high school and from the different spanish apps i downloaded. i told him i had been asking to take spanish classes and people just tried to tell me to download spanish apps and then he said, "they don't work." so i'm pretty sure that he's seen a few of these apps in the past. i also told him that i remembered my friend jose telling me a long time ago that he'd teach me spanish, then i asked him again and he claimed it'd be "too hard", so the guy said that he'd recommend one-on-one individual classes, so it'd stick in my brain and i got my money's worth. i agree, so he gave me his number and told me to have the lady who controls my finances call him and leave him a message if she had to and he'd get back to her. so HOPEFULLY this all works out for me, so i can at least know what several random hispanic people that i don't know say to me in spanish when they walk up to me trying to strike a conversation in spanish with me and i'll be able to put it as one of my job qualifications on my resume. i have another class next week.. i'm hoping this will stick in my head now.
alright.. so the physical therapist told me what to do if and when i have spasms (do the excersises she gave me), but that doesn't help me with the pain i have in my hands due to arthritis. i'm really not sure what to do. i think i remember seeing on my tylenol bottle about "arthritis relief" but i'm not positive and i would like a more permanent solution (if there is any). my hands are in pain almost immediately in the morning. i feel like a crazy old lady with pain in her joints and i'm not even 40 yet.
